RoP presents Meltdown
09/06/2010
Ridglea Theater
Fort Worth, TX
Attendance: 400
The video stops and we go to shots around the arena where fans are on their feet and screaming around the Ridglea. There’s signs like “Deas is Dead”, “Lev’s Big and Bad” and “Stu’s Crew” before we got to a shot of Stu-E Price and Arturius Strong at the announce table.
SP: Welcome everyone to Meltdown, live from Fort Worth. Two weeks ago we saw some chaos and some big things go down but tonight is bound to be bigger, Artie. We’re just two week’s away from Out for Blood: Momentary Lapse of Reason and it’ll be the last supershow before the big Wrevolution show in November.
AS: We’ll see the RoP Tag Team Champions, The Revolution, in action against Accident and Emergency and we’ll also see The Children of the Night taking on Eric Cobretti and Mojo Risin’. The Children of the Night will take on The Revolution for the titles in two weeks and I have a feeling that all hell could break loose here tonight.
SP: We’ll also see Deflar Linos face his first opponent in an RoP ring. After weeks of Deflar beating down people, he has to take on someone that he’s made a victim lately and it may be a chance for revenge and a chance to get on the right track for Legacy.
AS: We’ll see Levinator take on you, Stu in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Lev cost you your last match against Terry Marvin, this is YOUR shot at revenge.
SP: Damn right and I plan on taking it. We’ll also see Ace Andrews take on Lucas Sensation. Lucas has been battling the Syn City Syndicate for about a month, but tonight is his first legit shot at any member of the Syndicate. It should be explosive.
AS: Speaking of explosive, in our main event we’ll see Terry Marvin take on the Southwestern Heavyweight Champion, Dillon D’Angelo. These two are of course gonna be in a three way dance at Out for Blood: Momentary Lapse of Reason, but their opponent, Alexander McIntyre will be the special enforcer for the match, likely to make sure that the Syndicate don’t effect the outcome.
SP: Well, it’ll be one hell of a night and let’s kick it off with well………what I’m sure will be a murder.
TL: The following contest is set for one fall, already in the ring at this time, Tommy Hero!
Hero raises his arms high as the fans give him a small reaction.
AS: And here we go once more, another victim to the monster.
SP: Sooner or later, we might get a competitive match for him.
AS: Yeah and the Syndicate aren’t arrogant little punks.
TL: And his opponent, he is currently undefeated here in ROP, being accompanied to the ring by Dr. Jessica Sage, please welcome... PROJECT: KEMICAL!
“Cold” Begins to play and as per usual, an Ironlunge is lead down to the entrance ramp where Dr. Jessica Sage is waiting. At a press of the button, steam escapes the seals of the lunge and Kemical is shown, strapped down. Sage unshackles him and points to the ring where Tommy Hero looks on with fear in his eyes.
AS: And to think, Hero was once seen as a great competitor.
SP: Tonight he’ll be known as victim number three...
The bell rings and Hero charges at Kemical and looks to hit a clothesline and when he does, it only barely budges the monster, Kemical tilts his head as Hero backs up and goes for it again; and to the same effect he barely budges Kemical... another tilt of his head and Hero backs up again and tries it one last time and when he reaches Kemical he is grabbed by his throat and lifted above Kemical’s head and in freakish strength Kemical is able to place him into a military press and with that Sage clicked her fingers and Kemical dropped Hero right across his knee, back first. Kemical looked down at the damage and placed one boot on his chest as the referee counted the three count.
SP: Thank god that’s over... what the hell was Hero thinking?!
AS: Thinking he stood a chance.
TL: Here is your winner... via pinfall, PROJECT: KEMICAL!
We see Shadow and Paige grabbing their titles, as they watch the last replay close. Noticing the camera Shadow turns to it.
Shadow- “So it begins. The road to Out for Blood and our Tag Team Titles. Tonight is just a sample of the carnage that will be awaiting The Revolution. Not too long ago, you two took something that was not meant for you. Now what happens tonight to Mojo and Eric is not only a preview for you, but a direct result of your actions. So keep that in mind when you and the rest of RoP witness what happens to these two cretins.”
Shadow and Paige walk off. The camera watches their backs for a moment and then fades out.
TL: The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, already in the ring…….the team of Mr. Mojo Risin’ and Eric “The Cobra” Cobretti!
The fans boo for the duo as they raise their hands up.
SP: Mojo has been unbeaten in both of his matches here in RoP thus far, though I think his luck may be about to change.
AS: His opponents are out to prove something here tonight and unfortunately he’s just in the way…….
TL: And their opponents……….the team of Paige and Shadow……..The Children of the Night!
"Evolution" comes across the P.A. system and Shadow and Paige walk out to the stage and stop. They look over the crowd and start to head down to the ring. They climb into the ring and walk over to their corner. Paige drops her title in the corner, as Shadow slumps down into the corner, while they await their opponents.
SP: In two weeks, Paige and Shadow will challenge The Revolution for the Tag Team Championships at Out for Blood: Momentary Lapse of Reason. They won a trios match two weeks ago on the last Meltdown against Jared and Johnny and they have a shot here to keep their momentum going.
AS: A shot? This seems to me like it’s something of a sacrifice in their favor……
The bell rings and Paige is in the ring with Eric. Cobretti charges at her and gets a kick to the gut followed by some shots from her before she whips him into the corner. He stumbles out and she nails a bulldog on him. Cobretti holds his jaw as he stumbles up and she grabs his arm, wringing it around before tagging in Shadow. Shadow comes in and nails some vicious elbow shots to Cobretti’s shoulder area, causing him to scream before he takes Cobretti’s arm and flips him over onto the mat. As Eric is laying there, Shadow drops a knee into his shoulder, then another.
SP: Good team work and offense thus far from Shadow and Paige. They’re working over Cobretti and so far Mojo is just stuck on the apron.
AS: Probably a good place for him………
Shadow pulls Cobretti up and goes for a snap suplex, but Cobretti falls behind him and turns Shadow around. He nails a jaw breaker on him that sends Shadow stumbling back and then he goes to tag in Mojo. Shadow gets into his corner and allows Paige to tag in before Cobretti makes it to the corner. Paige grabs Eric and turns him around to nail a few shots to his face. She whips him into the ropes and telegraphs a back body drop. Cobretti kicks her in the jaw and sends her back, but before he can do anything, Shadow charges out of his corner and clips him in the knee as Paige quickly regains her composure and charges with a dropkick to complete the High-Low. She gets down and covers Cobretti as Shadow charges and knocks Mojo off the apron. One…….Two………Three!
TL: Here are your winners, THE CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT!
SP: Talk about dominance, Artie. Mojo didn’t even get into the match!
AS: Yeah, what a display from Shadow and Paige, but keep in mind……..The Revolution has a match later tonight. Will they have the same success in theirs or will they get overcome by Deas and Ironfist?
As Paige comes through the curtain after her match she runs into Finn as he is on the way out to the ring.
Paige: “Watch where the hell you are going damn it.”
Finn looks at Paige and steps to the side.
Finn: “Sorry Paige but I was in a hurry because someone asked me to give this to you and I have to get to the ring.”
Finn hands Paige a plain white box with a red ribbon around it. Paige takes the box and just looks at it and begins to smile because she knows what is waiting inside of it.
Paige: “Thank you and hopefully he is getting tired of the mystery games and will show his self soon even though I already think I know who it is. Now if you will excuse me I need to go start preparing for my upcoming matches and get some school work done.”
Paige walks away leaving Finn staring at her as she disappears from view.
TL: Ladies and gentleman, the following contest is a fatal four way match set for one fall………introducing first…….on his way to the ring……”The Guido” DJ Clay!
The lights go down, An italian flag is illuminated on the stage. On the Screen we see a Cadillac shield and the name Clay on it. The music begins with a bit of spoken word... "Starting off in the southwest side of town... We find our boy DJ clay Fighting his way out of yet another sticky situation." The spot hits DJ standing on the stage head down but bumping to the music Slowly the chant of DJ Clay fades in with the chant continuing for 20 seconds. His head is down the whole time his fist pumps in the air to the cheer. There is a loud cheer, His head raises with a Guido's smile. The lyrics begin to flow:
"Ever since i was young,
I been around guns,
I was born in the Hood,
Can't help where i'm from,
Heartbeat like a drum
In the Beat just for yall
and my blood off in each and every sound
I'll beat your stuff
If you wanna get tough
We a hundred mile deep
with the guns and the jags
Got the things that boom
even things that cut
'swhy we all where we at
And you all where you not..."
He walks down the ramp slowly shaking out his arms and Listening to his Manager Linn. He cracks his neck and keeps walking slowly.
Double laced till the day
I'm face down in my own
Let 'em bleed till they bleed
In a puddle of they own...
He begins his walk around the ring looking at the crowd as the song hits it's hook
"YOU AINT FROM ROUND HERE
YOU GET LET DOWN HERE
THIS IS THAT SOUND... *pop pop pop pop*
WE ALL FEAR"
He jumps up ont to the apron and Hops over the ropes as the hok repeats 3 times with him going to each corner telling the crowd he ain't goin nowhere...
SP: DJ Clay has been on fire since debuting and in two weeks will have a shot for revenge on Deflar Linos, the man who attacked him several shows ago.
AS: Speaking of attacks, Clay raped Lil’ Knoxville on the last Meltdown and after that……I think there’s a lot of questions to be asked. Like why was Linn at ringside and what exactly was the message he was sending to Deflar?
TL: And his opponents………….first…..on his way to the ring, Finnious T. Boggs!
“Nobody” plays as Boggs walks out from the back to a mixed reaction. He walks purposefully down to the ring and slides in, keeping his eyes on Clay.
SP; Finnious has been on a roll lately. He beat Tommy Hero two weeks ago and is establishing himself in the RoP title pictures, it seems.
SP: Indeed, but he’s got himself a challenge here tonight.
TL: And from Coventry, England………Samson Linn!
“Alive” plays and Samson comes from the back to some cheers as he slaps some hands and makes his way down to the ring and slides in, eyeing Clay and Boggs and keeping his distance.
SP: Haven’t seen much of Linn, but he’s certainly showing some promise.
AS: Hopefully after this match he promises never to come back…………
TL: And the final participant…….from Clarksville, Tennessee………Xtreme Steve!
“King of the World” plays as Steve walks out from the back with a purpose to boos. He jogs down to the ring and is getting in when DJ asks for a mic.
SP: I was gonna say, Steve likely wants revenge for what happened with Knoxville, but Clay just asked for the mic.
AS: This is gonna be Guido-riffic.
DJ: Yanno, for the last two weeks, I’ve had people coming up to me and asking me why I did what I did to Knoxville last Meltdown and easy Steve, I know you gots to be pissed at it……but understand that I did it to send a message to Deflar and his punks in the Red Dragons. Ya see, they aren’t as big and as bad as they think they are and they certainly don’t have the numbers on their side anymore. I did what I did to Knoxville to show Deflar what’s going to happen to him in two weeks at the supershow. That’s also why I’m proposing this………
He looks at the other people in the ring and shrugs a shoulder.
DJ: Why don’t we make this an elimination match? If I win, I can show Deflar how tough The Guido is. If I lose, then one of you three will certainly come out of this looking great……whatcha say?
The other three nod their heads and the bell rings as the crowd pops, realizing that the match has just changed slightly. Everyone goes after one another with Boggs hip tossing Clay repeatedly. Samson grabs Steve and whips him into the ropes, though Steve comes back with a springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT. He gets up and Finnious grabs him from behind and throws him out of the ring. Finn ends up backing up right into, Clay, who grabs him and nails a Guido Bomb on him and makes the cover! One…….Two……..Three!
TL: Finnious T. Boggs is eliminated!
SP: Holy crap, Clay just made short work of Boggs and he’s taking this match seriously by all means.
AS: He’s out to show Deflar and the Dragons a thing or two and if he walks into the supershow with a win here tonight, you got to believe that it’ll give him a world of momentum.
Samson gets up and Clay nails some chops to his chest before he whips him into the ropes and nails a drop toe hold into a front face lock. Samson battles up and Clay nails some knees to his chest. He throws Linn into the corner, but he gets a foot up and charges back at Clay with a forearm shot that knocks him down. Clay gets up and Linn charges, but Clay greets him with a hip toss, then gets down and locks in his Welcome to New Jersey butterfly armlock submission. Linn taps almost immediately.
TL: Samson Linn is eliminated……
SP: Another one bites the dust and it’s on to just one more to go for Clay.
AS: And that’s the man who wants his head on a silver platter!
Steve has grabbed a chair from ringside and gets onto the apron and climbs up to the top rope. When Clay makes it up, Steve leaps off, but Clay dropkicks the chair right into his face. Steve stumbles back and drops the chair, which causes Clay to grab it and then charge at him and nail him repeatedly in the head with shot after shot. Steve stumbles out of the corner and Clay drops the chair down, then pulls him in and nails a Guido Bomb onto it! Steve is convulsing on the mat as Clay hooks a leg. One…….Two……..Three!
TL: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the match……DJ CLAY!
SP: Clay with a huge win and with him and Deflar facing off in two weeks, you got to wonder what the Red Dragons thing of this.
AS: If I’m Deflar, I’d be taking the next bus out of town…….that’s for certain. I think he may have pissed off the wrong Guido when he attacked Clay.
A quiet hush falls over the crowd as the lights deem and a spot light hits the entrance way to the ring. Static starts to fill over the PA system then an explosion behind the entrance by fireworks as a loud ringing sound starts to come out of the PA system as "In the Air Tonight" by Nonpoint begins to play.
I can feel it
Coming in the air tonight
Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment
For all my life
Oh Lord
Crowd: (POP!)
Traci Loveheart: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, hailing from Los Angeles California, weighing in at one-hundred and thirty-five pounds...
Kevin Legacy walks out on to the entrance ramp wearing a hooded jacket with the hood up over his head.
Traci Loveheart: KEVIN LEGACY!!!
Crowd: (YEAH!)
Well if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend
But I don't know if you know who i am
Well I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe of the grin
I know where you've been
Its all been a pack of lies
Kevin points towards the ring as he starts to make his way towards ringside.
I can feel it
Coming in the air tonight
Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment
For all my life
Oh Lord, Oh Lord
Kevin takes off his jacket and places it in one of the ring corners. Kevin then proceeds to slide into the ring.
Well I remember
I remember don't worry
How could I ever forget
Its the first time
The last time
We ever met
But i know the reason why you keep me silenced up
No you don't fool me
Cause the hurt doesn't show
But the pain still grows
Its no stranger to you and me
Kevin climbs on the turnbuckle and raise his hands looking on towards the crowd in a superior manor.
I can feel it
Coming in the air tonight
Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment
For all my life
Oh Lord, Oh Lord
Kevin jumps from the turnbuckle and starts to pump his arms up and down as his theme music slowly fades away. Shortly after, "Welcome to the Family" by Avenged Sevenfold hits the PA as Deflar and the rest of the Red Dragons walk out in a roar of jeers. They walk to the ring, reaching it, and Deflar removes his coat and glasses, then hands it to the faction, then orders them to leave. He looks towards Traci Loveheart as he steps into the ring over the top rope.
Loveheart: In the ring, from Edinburgh, Scotland, weighing two-hundred ninety-five pounds, "The Red Dragon" Deflar Linos.
Deflar turns towards a turnbuckle and rests on it, waiting for the match to begin.
Price: Finally, the attack from a month ago will finally be avenged as Kevin faces off with the very man who left him a battered and bloody mess in the ring.
Strong: Finally, we get to see what this guy can do in the ring.
Shortly after Richard Dent calls for the bell, Deflar charges at Kevin and lands a hard spear. As Kevin begins to grab his stomach, Deflar walks over to his head and applies a dragon sleeper. As Dent looks at the move, checking on Kevin, Deflar releases the hold, then shakes his head, apparently in disappointment. He picks Kevin up and places his hand on the younger man's head, then switches hands and picks him up in a tombstone pile driver, performing a thumbs down in the process. He picks Kevin up once more and as Kevin stands groggy, Deflar taunts him by placing his hands in front of his waste and lowers his heads, as if praying or paying respects to the dead, then snaps at him, grabbing him with his right hand, then performs a chokeslam with just one hand.
Price: My goodness, Deflar's not letting up his assault, this needs to stop!
Strong: Stop? I'm loving it, Deflar's proving that he'll fit into the Ring of Pride very well.
As Deflar looks at Kevin, who is barely moving, and begins to smile. He picks Kevin up and then picks him up into a torture rack, then suddenly shifts it into a sit down power bomb. As Dent walks over to Kevin, he calls for the bell then raises Deflar's hand as "Welcome to the Family" by Avenged Sevenfold begins to play.
Loveheart: Here's your winner via knockout, "The Red Dragon" Deflar Linos!
Price: Kevin never had a chance to mound an offense, this Deflar bastard was unrelenting.
Strong: That was awesome, what a way to make an impact here!
