In-Character Rules
You are allowed to run as many characters as you see fit to run in RoP, as long as you are capable of devoting enough time to them.
The deadline for Role Play entries is just that, the deadline. Deadlines are posted in the board descriptor for each show or event. That is the deadline, so you don't need to ask anyone.
This fed is 100% RP based. If your RP outscores your opponent's, you win the match. The only time angles are used are when both sides agree to it, or to further a storyline with that player's agreement. The same holds true for title matches!
Role Plays posted on the Character Development board do not count towards any judging. That is only for you to show off your character, further your story, or can be used as a promotional tool for a match or rumor.
You are not permitted to use another player's character in your Role Play without their permission in any way, shape, or form. If you do so, the entire Role Play is immediately discarded as if it never existed. And you will be warned. If it happens again, you will be removed from the roster.
If your character no shows two events in a row, they are subject to immediate termination. This applies to ALL characters, not just newcomers and rookies. If a champion no shows a match, their character will be immediately cost their title and be embarrassed even if it is a non-title match.
Earning title shots is considered an honor. If you want to challenge for a championship, the most obvious way is to win your matches. However, title matches are also awarded based on effort, whether won or loss. And also they can be based on your actions. If you win plenty of matches but act like an ass out of character, don't expect shots to come your way.
Out of Character Rules
The chat box and the OOC sections of the board are there for your enjoyment. They are not to be used to incite people, to air dirty laundry, or to harass another player. If they are used in that way, you will be warned first and be subject to suspension on a second offense. A third offense, if it comes to that, results in termination.
There may be times when you are not booked. That is for a reason. Everyone deserves a break once in a while to keep from experiencing burn out. Use that time to think about what you want for your character next, or post on the CD boards to continue their story. It's a week off basically, use it as such if you wish.
If any problem arises that you need to discuss as it relates to this fed or its players, please contact a member of the staff. Do not post your issues for public viewing, as that solves nothing and only creates drama. Posts of that nature will be removed. The staff is here to help you with whatever may come up, so please let the staff try to handle it. Contact any member you so wish, all are equipped to be of assistance.
Applications submitted to staff must have all sections filled out in its entirety. An incomplete application is deleted without prejudice, and can be resubmitted when it is complete. The only time you can forgo a part of the application is if the owner informs you that you do not have to submit a sample RP. Other than that, assume all parts need to be filled.
Role Plays can only be posted at any time during the week. However, on the final day of RPing, you are permitted to post no more than one RP within that 24 hour period. Multiple posts result in the subsequent role plays being disqualified and ignored. This is to prevent sandbagging.
There is to be no recycling of Role Plays in RoP. Every Role Play posted for a match must be a new work, and not a reprint of something you wrote elsewhere for another fed. Recycling Role Plays is considered disrespectful to your opponent, and will result in the entire RP being disqualified from consideration even if it just one scene out of the entire work.
It should go without saying that the RoP does not tolerate any kind of plagiarism. If any part of your Role Play is found to be pulled from another work from another writer, you will be immediately terminated with prejudice and proof will be posted for all to see of your theft.
It should also go without saying that there is expected to be good conduct and sportsmanship throughout RoP. This includes mostly Out of character interaction. Poor sportsmanship, flaming, or just generally being obnoxious anywhere on these forums will only end up causing the staff to question whether or not you should be allowed to remain as part of the roster. This rule also includes the staff. Staff members showing any of these signs on the boards anywhere will be considered grounds for removal from staffing responsibilities.
Any player who no shows a championship title defense will not be granted a rematch. This is considered disrespectful to the title and the opponent, and not tolerated. If this happens, that character will have to earn another chance as though they never won the title to begin with.
